Use your communication, event/ audio visual and technical knowledge of these events to “sell” to existing clients.

This is a multitasking role based on your ability to deal with clients, understand and organize events, conferences, award ceremonies and/ or product launches.

You will be responsible for “selling” i.e. dealing direct with the client at a venue or represent a venue to prospective clients so they get a full understanding of what is on offer.

The role involves dealing direct with the clients to ascertain their needs, onsite visits to a facility and for you to have a vision of how the resulting show will be put together.

You must offer an understanding of A.V., sound, lighting technology and be able to use the floor plan to estimate the quantity of equipment needed.

Once the budget is set you will production manage the event.  Pack-in/ pack-out days must be planned to ensure all deadlines are met and once the event is completed ensure the correct items are billed for.

This requires a high level of organization, planning, communication skills and the ability to be flexible re. work hours.  There are evenings and some weekend work.

You must have the right to work in New Zealand and a full Drivers’ License.

Remuneration is experience linked $55 to $60k with time in lieu for additional hours worked.
